TST 5 After 7 Months

Apa beza benda ni? Tunggu break-in la dulu

Utk beberapa bulan pertama, aku tak sure apa effect TST 5 (if any, I barely noticed). Marzocchi fork ambil masa cukup lama (40-60hr) utk break-in. So, byk masa awal dihabiskan utk settting air pressure yg bertukar bila feel fork semakin lembut.


Pilih mana suka, keras atau lembut?

(DS) - Best setting for downhill

Well said, aku tak byk buat hi speed downhill (50-100 km/h). Dgn trail familiar yg dilalu, this is not my favourite setting atau yg selalu diguna (kecuali di awal break-in, ini setting yg paling lembut). Unless aku jumpa trail yg boleh run tanpa braking (braking/pumping corner atau utk jump, fork akan masuk jauh ke dalam stroke/bottom dgn terlalu mudah). Rule of thumb: Hi speed downhill & less/no braking, this is a setting for you.

(-) - Best setting for All Mountain

Setting pertengahan antara DS & AM. Hmmm... kalau ke trail seperti Batu Dam dgn descent yg agak panjang dgn moderate speed, less technical & tak perlu braking banyak, ini setting yg aku akan pakai.

(AM) - Best setting for All Mountain

This is all mountain! Plush & smooth. Well balanced. Ini setting yg paling byk aku guna. Even low speed compression tak seperti fork2 lain i.e Fox & Rockshox, tapi feel lebih baik pada moderate/hi speed (something between 40-50 km/h). Cukup balanced utk trail obstacles seperti small drop/jump (3ft) & under braking.

(+) - Best setting for All Mountain

Ok, penggunaan fork ni terhad utk All Mountain & Freeride (bukan Xtreme FR), then setting ini utk Freeride. In case kalau nak layan ramp seperti di RRI/Kiara, this is the right setting.

(CL) - Best setting for uphill, locked fork

Bila kali terakhir kita lock fork utk climb? Aku tak pernah, so setting ni terbiar, tak pernah guna. Mungkin rider yg berbeza akan suka setting yg berbeza. Feel ini adalah based pada 'air pressure' & rebound yg aku tentukan mengikut feel yg aku suka. Utk kebanyakan trail (bash, kiara, frim, rri etc) aku pilih setting (AM) & sekali2 (+) +160mm travel utk lebih firm feel bila jump atau (-) +160mm travel utk long, smooth descent.
